Hello, Prancing Pony Farm family! I’m so excited to welcome you to our brand new WordPress website dedicated specifically to our dairy goat program.
Why a New Website?
If you’ve been following our journey, you know that our original website has been home to both our Maremma Sheepdog and dairy goat programs for years. It’s been a wonderful hub for sharing our farm adventures, helpful articles, and connecting with customers.
But as both programs have grown and evolved, I realized it was time to give our Maremma Sheepdogs and dairy goats their own dedicated spaces where I could better serve each of our communities.
I started out with a new Maremma website and once I got the hang of things I loved WordPress so much that I decided to make this new site for the goat program.
What Makes This Better?
WordPress is a game-changer! After years of wrestling with our old platform (hello, Weebly frustrations!), moving to WordPress means:
- ✅ Easier updates – I can keep you informed with fresh content more regularly
- ✅ Better organization – Everything goat-related in one focused place (with the Maremma content on its site)
- ✅ Improved functionality – Smoother browsing, better mobile experience
- ✅ Enhanced features – Better photo galleries, easier navigation, more interactive content
- ✅ Faster loading – Because nobody likes waiting for pages to load!
Most importantly, it allows me to serve you better with more timely updates, clearer information, and a more user-friendly experience.
Don’t Worry – Your Favorite Content Isn’t Going Anywhere!
I know many of you have bookmarked articles, guides, and resources from our original website. All of that valuable content is staying right where it is!
Our original Prancing Pony Farm website will continue to house:
- 📚 Years of helpful goat care articles
- 🐕 All our old Maremma Sheepdog content (Our new Maremma content is on its own dedicated site now too!)
- 📖 Breeding information and historical records
- 💡 Care guides and resource lists
- 📝 Farm stories and customer testimonials
Think of this new site as our “headquarters” for current goat availability and fresh content, while our original site serves as our comprehensive library of years worth of resources.
What You’ll Find Here
This new website will be your go-to place for:
- 🐐 Current goat availability and updated photos

Perfect Timing for Big News
Speaking of fresh content, this new website launches at a pretty significant time in our farm’s journey. As you’ll soon read about in upcoming posts, I’m making some major changes to our goat program that make having this dedicated space even more important.
Stay tuned for some big announcements that will definitely be easier to share and manage on this beautiful new platform!

Thank You for Your Patience
I know change can be a little confusing at first, but I’m confident this new setup will serve our goat community so much better. Thank you for your patience as I navigate this transition and for continuing to be part of the Prancing Pony Farm family.
I’m excited about this new chapter and can’t wait to share what’s coming next!
